THE TWINK MURDERS

Someone is killing the boys of the streets of Hollywood.

An upcoming indie feature film.

THE TWINK MURDERS will be a unique and powerful movie, a smart, quirky feature film for sophisticated audiences, young and old. It is entertaining and, in this era of resurgent oppression of LGBTQ+, Blacks, women, and any marginalized group, this movie could be more attractive and powerful than ever before. The story shows the destructive power of dogma over love, and puts a man into a place where he realizes the importance of love.

A father rejects his gay son, then learns the boy is on the streets of Hollywood among the other boys, many considered "twinks," who survive on the streets. The father discovers his son may have been a victim of a serial killer killing the boys of the streets. He is overwhelmed by his mistakes and now must find his son, entering the abyss of street life in Hollywood, not even knowing if the boy is dead or alive.

You'll believe a man can change.

Powerful, entertaining stories have always been a tool for helping shape better cultural values.

THE TWINK MURDERS is such a story. Entertaining and powerful.

EVERY BOY TOSSED TO THE STREETS DREAMS OF THE DAY HIS FATHER BEGS TO BE FORGIVEN.

(The screenplay is complete, honed by Hollywood producers, script editors, table reads, and rewrites. Considered "R-rated". Available upon request.)

THE TWINK MURDERS written by Michael R. Barnard

“Michael’s script is one of the best I’ve read in a very long time.” ~ Mark Lipsky, former Miramax executive

“We feel that your script is already one of the best specs out there. The screenplay certainly works.” ~ LGBTQ+ Toronto Film Festival

“This script could really attract some great actor and director talent. In the way of MILK, BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, and other mainstream gay films, this could become a culturally important and commercially successful film.” ~ THE BLACKLIST review

“The protagonist’s journey from homophobic to an ally is rendered with nuance and emotional resonance, as are the lives of the marginalized individuals around him.” ~ SLATED review
